Tamara Bahry

Rise is proud to announce the appointment of Toronto-based photographer and philanthropist Tamara Bahry to our Board of Directors.

After a demanding career in finance, Tamara decided to return to her creative roots and, for the past 15+ years, has built acclaim as an award-winning and internationally exhibited photographer. She is also a dedicated philanthropist. Among other initiatives, Tamara founded Commission Yourself and the Stop-Traffik bike ride. She is also a founding board member of HART (Human Anti Trafficking Team) and has served on many boards and committees, including Covenant House, Baycrest Hospital, the National Ballet of Canada, and Rethink Breast Cancer. Tamara further supports various organizations and causes through The Bahry Foundation, and we’re grateful that she’s now bringing her powerful perspective, passion and expertise to Rise.
